John has been the lead pastor of Emmanuel Church in Flint, Michigan, since August of 2012. Before that time, he served as a youth pastor for 17 years. He is a graduate of Maranatha Baptist University. He has been married for almost 25 years to Tami, and they have three kids. He is a huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings, and the 2023 National Champion, Michigan Wolverines.
